Hygiene prevents infections amongst patients and employees. In order to guarantee high

Medical standard, careful and thorough hygiene in practices, hospital, hospital, etc is

Indispensable. Application of cleaning agents and disinfectants are legally stipulated

According to a determined time scheme.

Through the daily suction of organic and inorganic substances there is a danger that these

Substances settle in the tubes, begin to dry or present a risk of infection for staff during filter

change. The goal is the elimination of infection- relevant germs with standardized,

quantifiable proof of effect for prevention of nosocomial infections.

Disinfectants can only be effective if the required exposure times and concentrations are

complied with. Non-compliance with exposure times and concentrations, e.g. underdosage,

can lead to insufficient disinfection efficiency. Overdosages are inefficient and

Unnecessarily burden the environment.

Field of application:

Combination preparation for disinfection and cleaning of dental suction system, amalgam

separators as well as mouth rinse basins.

Type of preparation:

Cleaning disinfectant concentrate on basis of quaternary ammonium salts. Aldehyde- free, with pleasant smell, extremely low-foam and material- sparing: fast effectiveness, even in very slight concentrations. Approved as a medical product.

Application references:

To avoid functional disturbances in the suction system and at the same time to ensure hygienic safety, the disinfection should be carried out as follows.

The suction system disinfectant is a disinfectant concentrate which has to be diluted with water before its application. The suction system disinfectant is used in a 2 or 3 % concentration (20/30 ml of concentrate to 1 Liter of water). For this purpose, turn the dosing chamber cap of our practical dosing bottle by a half turn, pump the desired quantity into the dosing chamber by pressing the bottle and mix this quantity with water. Suck ca. one litre of the ready-to-use solution through the suction tubes and allow at least 15 minutes to take effect, e.g. over the lunch break or over night. Depending on the loud, it is recommended to disinfect the suction system one to two times per day, before the lunch break and after the end of treatment.

After the end of the exposure time, flush with water in order to rinse out dissolved contaminants from the tubes.

In the case of a high degree of blood and secretory contaminants, water should be flushed through directly after the treatment. In the event of strong contaminants or longer downtimes, an additional cleaner (e.g. suction system intensive cleaner) should be utilized.

Composition:

Dimethyl dioctyl ammonium chloride, benzyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, surfactants, solubiliser, adjuvants, odorous substance, water.

General remarks

Throughout medical practice, hygiene helps protect patients and staff against infections. Careful and thorough hygiene measures are essential in surgeries, hospital etc. in order to guarantee high medical standards. Cleaning agents and disinfectants should be used according to a predetermined schedule. The objective is to eliminate infectious pathogens using a standardised, quantifiable system with proof of effectiveness in nosocomial infections.

Active hygiene measures include disinfection, sterilisation and the use of single – use or disposable articles. For instruments intended for reuse, disinfection, cleaning and sterilisation (where sterilisation is possible) are always carried out in that order. Procedures involving immersion in basins, spraying and wiping are used for instrument disinfection. However, disinfection by immersion in basins is generally preferable.

Disinfectants can only act effectively if the necessary action times and concentrations are observed. If reaction times and concentrations (inadequate dosage for example) are not respected, this may result in ineffective disinfection. Excess dosages are uneconomic and impact unnecessarily on the environment.

Field of application:

The instrument disinfectant is suitable for the cleaning and disinfection of all types of surgical instruments and drills in manual preparation and circulation procedures and in the ultrasonic bath.

Preparation:

Low working concentrations achieve a comprehensive spectrum of the effect to combat bacteria, fungi, enveloped and non-enveloped viruses and spores. The disinfectant has effective corrosion protection, is biodegradable and can be disposed of in diluted form with normal water.

Directions for use:

The instrument disinfection powder is a disinfectant concentrate which must be diluted with water before use. A 1% concentration is recommended: (10g of the concentrate to 1 litre of water). Lower concentrations can also be used, as shown in the list of action times below.

Use the enclosed measurement beaker (15ml = 10g, 30ml = 20g) to prepare the working solution. Sprinkle in the appropriate amount of powder, and then stir several times during the first 15 minutes. Ensure that the solution wets all parts completely. After the stipulated action time, remove the objects from the solution and rinse off with water (drinking water quality, but sterile distilled water or deionised water is better). Change the solution on each working day.

Immersion bath procedure:

Dismantle the instruments and appliances immediately after use as far as possible into their individual parts or open them and immerse in the working solution. The set of instruments must be covered completely with the instrument disinfectant. There may not be any non-immersed spaces or air bubbles. Replace the disinfectant regularly (preferably daily) depending on the level of contamination. On completion of instrument disinfection, rinse thoroughly with water and then dry.

Silicon spray should be used for the care of hinges.

Ultrasound bath

The instrument disinfectant can be used in the given concentrations in the ultrasonic bath as well. It is important to ensure that the ultrasonic treatment time quoted by the instrument manufacturer is not exceeded.

Type of preparation:

With low application concentrations it covers a comprehensive spectrum of activity against bacteria, fungi (Candida albicans) and enveloped viruses; with effective corrosion protection, biodegradable. The disinfectant can be disposed of diluted with normal waste water.

Application references:

The instrument disinfectant is a disinfectant concentrate which first has to be diluted with water before its application a 1 % concentration is recommended (10 ml of concentrate to 1 litre of water). Lower concentrations can also be utilised in accordance with the exposure times listed below. For this purpose, turn the dosing chamber cap of our practical dosing bottle by a half turn, pump the desired quantity into the dosing chamber by pressing the bottle and mix this quantity with water, as listed below in the dilution table. Afterwards, allow to take effect in accordance with the exposure times.

Immersion bath process:

Immediately after use, dismantle or open the instruments and devices as far as possible into component parts and place in the solution. The instruments must be completely covered with the instrument disinfectant. There should be no cavities or air bubbles. Replace solution regularly, depending on the degree of soiling (at best daily). After the disinfection of instruments, rinse thoroughly with water and dry. The water should have at least drinking-water quality. Completely demineralised, sterile water is recommended for high-quality instruments. Use hinge silicon spray for care.

Ultrasonic bath:

The instrument disinfectant can also be utilised in the indicated concentrations in the ultrasonic bath. While doing so, make sure that the sonication periods do not exceed the specifications of the instrument manufacturer.
